The Nursery
Our next litter will be arriving in
early 2025.
Our Samoyeds are first and foremost our family, making their pregnancies and litters truly important stages in our lives.
We set up the whelping box in our living area, ensuring maximum comfort for our dams and maximum supervision for us. We are happy to create a quiet and warm cave-like environment to introduce the puppies to the world and maintain a hands off approach as much as possible until they have their first round of vaccinations at 6 weeks old. We do our best to introduce them to noise, light and cool temperatures in a controlled slow manner.
We have young children, which means that the puppies are exposed to various degrees of volume, pitch and sudden outbursts by the time they are ready for their forever homes. We have a exterior fenced space, which grants us the opportunity to give the puppies plenty of outdoor time and often aids in their house training progress.
By 8 weeks, if the puppies have not yet gone home, we begin Fenrir training with them. At this time, we also increase their exposure to different people, places and sounds to continue their socialization. We believe that training your puppy from the get-go is not only best for people but provides the canine with the consistent leadership it requires to be a calm and relaxed companion.
Adopting a Vasilisa Samoyed
Finding the appropriate homes for these smiling sammies is a task we take very seriously. It is not complicated but it is thorough.
First, you will need to download and fill out our puppy questionnaire. Once we have the opportunity to review it, we will contact you to clear up any questions or concerns that we have.
After we get to know you, we will invite you to meet the puppies. This gives you the opportunity to see who you bond with and us the opportunity to see how you interact with them.
*We never allow guests to visit the puppies prior to their first round of vaccinations at 6 weeks old.
Once we both agree on which puppy is right for you, we will ask you to fill out a purchase agreement and arrange a day and time for you to pick up your puppy. Vasilisa Samoyeds are typically sold with a non-breeding agreement. All of these details can be found in our contract link below.
Vasilisa Samoyeds can go home between 8-10 weeks, and will have their 6 week vaccinations, microchips and their CKC certificates. Puppies go home with a puppy package as well, including a bag of food, a toy, training treats, brushes and combs, nail clippers, vaccine records, microchip information and gifts from local pet-based small businesses. This package helps to equip you with the proper tools to care for your new puppy. We encourage all new canine owners to invest in a crate, collar and leash, bowls and toys prior to taking your new puppy home.
